Jermaine "Salute" Green was born in Birmingham, Alabama. He is the youngest of two kids, and has had a passion for music and entertainment ever since the age of 11. Growing up in Hueytown and Bessemer Alabama was rough, but his mentality was to work hard and not let his circumstances dictate his future. Salute lost his dad to the US Army while his mom was six months pregnant and that alone has lit a fire in him to be successful.
Like his father, Salute joined the Army after high school and served in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. After returning he has been on a mission to show the world who Salute really is. He started with a trip to Houston, Texas where he ended up at IMIX studios with E-rock of the legendary group 5th Ward Boys. E-rock liked what he heard from Salute, and invited him to meet Devin the Dude. After meeting him, Devin asked him to be a part of his Coughee Brothaz Team. He traveled on tour and learned the music business for two years and is still a part of their team.
Salute has worked with and performed with some of the biggest names in music, Fat Joe, Lil Wayne, and Scarface to name a few. In 2013,Salute decided to move closer to his mom in Alabama. He decided to transition from Houston to Atlanta to further his career. Upon arrival he connected with K.E. on the Track to work on his debut album, Contraband Reloaded (coming in 2017)--a sequel to his hit mixtape Contraband War and Peace that dropped in 2016. K.E. compliments Salute's talent and often says his "range is limitless in the studio" and he's "the dopest and most complete new artist that [he's] worked with in a long time." K.E. on the Track has worked with some of the biggest names in entertainment such as Nikki Minaj, Future, Gucci Mane, Rick Ross, Roscoe Dash, and Kevin Gates.
